Rides, Food and Gift Baskets!

We have received several checks this week that will allow us to have more rides at our Family Carnival on July 19!

• Karen and Ronnie Sasser have donated money to sponsor a ride.  They have also donated 2 gift baskets for our silent auction, a beach basket and a children’s basket.  They are chock full of super cool stuff, valued at $80 and $50!
• A staff member at CCCC has donated $100 to put toward needs for the carnival
• WRS, Inc. (Owner of Shoppes at Sanford) has donated $500 toward rides for our big day!
• JT Davenport will be donating drinks and snacks

New Donations!

As of today we have several new donations!  We will be including a homemade beaded jewelry set in our silent auction.  We also have several new baskets to include in our silent auction:

Two More Baskets!

We have started two more baskets – a “Date Night” basket and a “Scrapbooking” basket!  Come out to the Family Carnival on the 19th of July to put in a bid on one of our fabulous baskets!

Get your raffle tickets!!

The tickets have been printed and all of our staff members and parents have some in hand.  If you would like to purchase a ticket (or 2 or 10 or 100!), you can stop by our center at 1550 Kelly Drive (past the community college) Monday-Friday between 7:30 and 5:30.  Purchase 50 or more and we will deliver them to you!

Tickets are $1 for ONE or $5 for SIX!

$1 buys you a chance at a 32″ HDTV and many other prizes!

$1 helps us toward our goal of a playground that is accessible to ALL children!

Carnival Location Set

Our carnival will be on July 19th from 9:00 – 2:00 in the parking lot of the old Wal-Mart on Horner Blvd in Sanford.

The raffle drawing will be held at 2:00.  The winners of the silent auction will be announced at that time as well.

Breaking News!!

Easter Seals UCP NC has obtained funding for all three of the shade structures we need for our playground.  The total cost of these structures is more than $10,000 which brings our total amount required to less than $37,000!

Theme Basket Update

Karen Sasser has confirmed that she and other employees at CCCC will be donating 3 baskets with the following themes:

• Children’s games
• Kitchen
• Beach

Karen donated 4 empty baskets to be filled by the staff and families at Stepping Stones.  The themes we chose are:

• Movie Night
• Cooking
• Gardening
• Carolina Tar Heels

Theme Baskets

Karen Sasser graciously agreed to purchase baskets for us so that we can make theme baskets.  The baskets will be labeled with a theme and parents and staff will be able to put donations into the basket(s) of their choice.  Some possible themes we have talked about are:

• Movie Night
• Cooking
• Gardening
• Reading
• Christmas
• Sports
• Coffee
• Tea
• Wine

Baskets will be auctioned off at the July 19th carnival.  We will also post pictures and an inventory of the completed baskets so that you can submit silent bids to me via email.  If you have an idea for a theme or if you would like to contribute a basket of your own, please let me know!
